Choose a frame, then choose your composition
Start with an Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest or TikTok layout. Each choice shows its output dimensions before you download. Custom size lets you set the width and height yourself, from 320 to 4,096 pixels per side.
Platform layouts can change, and cover photos may be cropped differently on different screens. Keep important faces and text away from the edges. YouTube options include compact, full HD and 4K thumbnails, plus a vertical Shorts cover.
Fill the frame or keep the whole photo
Fill the frame covers every edge and crops the overflow. Drag to choose which part stays visible, and use Zoom when you need more movement. Rotate a sideways photo or mirror it with a single button.
Keep whole photo preserves every edge without stretching. Make it smaller to add breathing room, then drag it anywhere within the available space. Choose a blurred version of the photo, a solid colour, a two-colour gradient or a transparent background.
Position precisely and download
Drag with a mouse or a finger. The arrow keys make small moves, Shift makes larger moves, and Home centres the photo. Numeric framing controls are available under Fine adjustments for a precise position.
PNG and WebP preserve transparent areas; JPG fills those areas with white. JPG and WebP also offer a quality setting for smaller files. The preview and download use the same composition, and your original file stays unchanged.
Frequently asked questions
›Can I move the photo after choosing a platform and size?
Yes. Drag the photo directly in the preview with a mouse or finger. In Fill the frame mode, movement is limited to the available crop so no empty gaps appear. Increase Zoom to get more movement. In Keep whole photo mode, reduce Photo size if you need more space around the image.
›What backgrounds can I add without cropping my photo?
Choose Keep whole photo, then select Blurred photo, Solid colour, Gradient or Transparent. Colours and blur strength are adjustable. The foreground photo keeps its proportions and stays inside the frame.
›How do I keep the background transparent?
Choose Keep whole photo, select Transparent and download as PNG or WebP. The checker pattern in the preview represents empty space and is not included in the file. JPG uses a white background instead.
›Can I choose my own image dimensions?
Yes. Select Custom size in Platform and enter a width and height between 320 and 4,096 pixels. You can still position the photo, choose a background and export in any of the three formats.
›Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. Your photo is opened and resized in your browser. The edited file downloads directly to your device.
